We will be celebrating the life and accomplishments of Harvey Milk on Wednesday, May 22. Classrooms will celebrate Harvey Milk Day with read-alouds and conversations about Harvey Milk and what he stood for, and why we should feel proud that our school is named after him. Students will create posters that represent their feelings of school pride, which they will display on a march through the Castro to Harvey Milk Plaza. In the days leading up to 5/22, students will be engaging in activities to support them with better understanding who Harvey Milk was and how his words and actions inspire all of us and create pride in our school.
